Modern Masters Crackle for Latex Paint DP601

Crackle effect is a water based cracking medium from Modern Masters that can be used with latex or acrylic paint to create a unique crackle paint finish. 

You are not limited to color selection as it is compatible with most latex or acrylic paints and it can also be used with metallic paint or venetian plaster.

A genuine crackle finish can be created in 3 easy steps.

Step 1: Apply a coat of latex eggshell, or satin paint with a brush, roller, or sprayer. This will be the color of the cracks.

Step 2: Apply one coat of crackle paint. The thicker the application, the larger the cracks will appear. The product is best applied with a 4 inch mini roller.

Step 3: Apply 1 thick coat of flat latex paint by brush, roller or spray. This coat will be the overall color. You need to work quickly for this step as the paint will begin to crack after the crackle medium is applied. A blow dryer can be used to speed up the cracking process, but it will happen naturally over a 24 hour period.
